Public’s Assistance Requested for Palmetto Lakes Vehicle Burglaries

 On Thursday, July 17, 2014, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office received several calls regarding the burglary of vehicles in the area of Indigo Estates, Summerlin Lake Subdivision, and Palmetto Lakes Subdivision in LaPlace. Over the course of the investigation, detectives identified Lawrence Jackson and Akeem Banks both of Hammond as suspects responsible for the burglaries. Both subjects are wanted by the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office on outstanding arrest warrants.
 


Akeem Banks, 23,
is six feet one inch tall and weighs 145 pounds. His last knon address is Perry Lane, Hammond, LA. Banks’ nickname is “Keem”.


Lawrence Jackson, 27,
is six feet tall and weighs 230 pounds. His last known address is Chloe Drive, Hammond, LA. Jackson’s nickname is “Wacky”.

Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance to apprehend Jackson and Banks. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Lawrence Jackson and Akeem Banks is encouraged to call the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office TIPS line at 985-359-TIPS or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111. Citizens with information about this incident that call Crimestoppers do not have to testify in court and may qualify for a cash reward.
