Sheriff Jones began his Law Enforcement career with
the St. John Sheriff's Office in 1976 as a Road
Deputy and later as a Patrol Sergeant. On January 1,
1985 he became the Chief District Attorney
Investigator. In the Election of 1995, he was
elected Sheriff. In 1999, he was re-elected to his
second term as Sheriff, and in 2003 he was
re-elected to this third term. He and his wife, Jo
Ann Martin Jones, reside in LaPlace, La. and have
three girls, Stacy, Kelly, and Jamie.
